Principal

Principal Josmar Martinez-Pavić originally from Caracas, Venezuela is a clinical child psychologist and has a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Regular and Special Education from the University of Kansas, (KU) USA. KU is recognized as having an outstanding program in this field. She has worked abroad in different positions, including: school psychologist, early childhood curriculum developer, consultant for child care centers and preschool settings, case manager/early interventionist for young children with special needs and their families, and research assistant for internationally-recognized projects in the field of early childhood education.

Having successfully worked with culturally diverse children and their families for more than 17 years, Ms. Martinez Pavić is looking forward to offering a world-class education not only to the international community of Zagreb but also to Croatian children. She strongly believes that to succeed in today's global environment, students increasingly need to complement their academic experiences with cultural awareness and involvement that will allow them to understand and blend with different people, race and nationalities all over the world.

School Coordinator

School Coordinator Jocelynn Avelino-Filipović originally from Manila, Philippines is a certified Montessori teacher with a Masters Degree in Family Life and Child Development. Her professional experiences since 1986 include ESL Teaching from Pre-K to young adults, Day Care Center Consultation/Curriculum Developing, Teacher Training and former Directress of The Playroom Child Development Center. Ms. Filipovic spearheaded several projects as a past president of The Association for Childhood Education International -Philippine Branch.

Currently, she is seeking publication for her ESL book where she successfully blended her teaching experiences and expertise to empower preschool and grade school teachers of Croatia in their journey on ESL teaching.

TLT staff

TLT staff members are qualified and experienced teaching professionals in Early Childhood Education and English as a Second Language.

Our professional staff will work with you and your child as they grow under our care. Our staff is convinced that making a difference in young children's lives is possible through loving, nurturing, challenging and provocative experiences.

We are fortunate to have an extremely low teacher turnover. The reason is simple - we take care of our team.

Facility and Location

TLT kindergarten is housed in an adapted facility located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in Zagreb, Croatia. Our outdoors facilities include a beautiful garden surrounded by pear, apple and cherry trees as well as a hard surface area for wheeled toys and bicycles.

TLT facility is equipped with a high tech security system in order to guarantee a safe environment at our kindergarten. For more info click here.
